Bowden & Partners - Grand Prize Draw 2010

Introduction

At Bowden & Partners we pride ourselves on providing a first class service to all of our clients, both buyers and sellers, and having had a successful year during 2009, despite the difficult economic climate, we have chosen to offer all of our property vendors in 2010 something a little extra as a massive "thank you" to those who entrust us to sell their property for them during what is likely to be another challenging year.

In addition to our normal service which provides competitive fees, a great marketing package, accompanied viewings 7 days per week, professional photography at no cost, low cost HIPs, a user friendly website and a passionately personal service we will also be giving away three cash prizes at the end of the year (see below for details).

The Prize Draw

This fantastic opportunity is open to all qualifying property vendors who successfully sell their property through us during 2010. The first lucky winner drawn at random after the closing date will win back their sales fee in full. Two further winners drawn at random will each receive £500 in cash.

Terms and Conditions
 

1. This prize draw is organised by Bowden & Partners, 66 Fore Street,  St. Marychurch, Torquay, Devon TQ1 4LX (the organisers). By entering the prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Entry, a signed prize draw entry certificate must be provided to the organisers in order to qualify for entry and this will be deemed as acceptance of these terms. 

 

2. Entry to the prize draw is only open to clients of Bowden & Partners estate agents, or their subsidiary Cherished Homes, who have marketed their property with either or both of the aforementioned businesses, have sold their property as a result of a buyer introduced by the organisers, and have paid sales commission in accordance with their estate agency contract. To gain entry into the 2010 draw the sales commission must be received and cleared in the organiser’s bank account between 1st January 2010 and 10th December 2010. The organisers undertake not to charge additional fees or costs for the benefit of entry into the prize draw and will only charge the standard fees that would normally be charged for their services. No payment is necessary to claim prizes, or to find out who the winners are. Only one entry per person is allowed. 

 

3. Only properties being sold by a private individual will be entered into the prize draw, those sold by property developers, builders or on behalf of or in the name of any other company will not qualify for entry. In the event of any individual selling more than one property during the qualifying period then only 1 entry into the prize draw will be gained. That single prize draw entry will be in relation to the property sale that generated the largest amount of sales commission payable by the individual. 

 

4. There will be three prizes allocated to three separate winners of the prize draw; the winners will be selected at random from all qualifying entries. Every qualifying entry will be given an equal and fair chance of winning the draw. The draw will take place on Saturday 11th December 2010 OR within 28 days thereafter. 

 

5. The first randomly selected winner will receive the first prize which will consist of a payment, by cheque, equivalent to the amount of sales commission (not including any VAT element) originally paid by the client after the completion of the sale of their property through Bowden & Partners or Cherished Homes. Second and third prizes will be awarded to the next two randomly drawn winners who will each receive a cheque for £500. No alternative prizes can be offered. First prize is limited to a maximum amount of £4,000. 

 

6. Prizewinners will be notified by email, post or telephone shortly after the closing date. Only one prize per entrant will be awarded. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that the organisers have their correct and current contact details with which to make contact should they win. If the organisers are unable to contact any winner within 14 days of the draw (having made all reasonable endeavours to do so) the winner will be disqualified and a new winner will be selected for that prize. The organisers reserve the right to request photographic identification before presenting a prize to a claimant. 

 

7. Winner’s cheques will be made payable to the named parties involved in the sale of the property as legal owners of the property prior to the sale. In the case of a joint ownership sale the vendors may choose to have the prize split between them in any proportion that they so choose upon separate and matching written notification to that effect. In the event of a dispute regarding proportional allocation of the prize the organisers will split the prize equally between the claimants.  

 

8. The organiser’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  

 

9. The organiser will process the personal data of all entrants in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and will not disclose the personal data to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. Winners accept that the organiser may disclose their names to the public.  

 

10. The organiser and this competition are governed by English Law. The organisers have the discretion to disqualify or withhold entry to the prize draw for any reason.  

 

11.The winners may be asked to take part in publicity and the organiser reserves the right to use the names and location of winners and their photographs in any publicity.

 

12. At the time of claiming a prize all winners must be UK resident and over the age of 18 years. The prize draw is not open to owners / employees of the organisers, their immediate families, or anybody else connected to the organisers in a professional capacity.
